Illustrator Samuel Rodriguez composes a series of striking works in his solo show at the Cukui Gallery in San Jose; he also has a group show at 1:AM (First Amendment Gallery)  in San Francisco. Rodriguez work reeks of bitter content. The subjects in his works are plagued with fanciful geometric shapes and seemingly incomplete design.

Lazy Oaf is banking on the hype of The Dark Knight Rises by dedicating an entire collection to the Gotham vigilante. Exploitative or not, we’re fucking impressed. Shot by photography Viktor Vauthier, this winged collection features some clothing staples, sweaters, leggings, etc., as well as some unique interesting pieces like a catwomanesque body suit and a fly batwing shirt. After announcing their forthcoming album Coexist a few weeks back, The xx have finally offered up a brand new single. Titled “Angels”, the song will be found on the upcoming album.
