Illustrator Vaka Valo is nonchalantly sick. It sounds a tad extreme but when you see the work, you will know exactly what we mean. Valo’s Drxxm Dxxry series is a cool application of muted violence. The work isn’t ruined with overwrought emotion and theatrics; the sometimes surrealistic and deliberate actions allow the pieces to speak for themselves. One might say that it reeks of effortless effort.
