Although certain parties would like you to believe that rampant immigration is plaguing the United States, recent studies have found that immigration is around the same percentage as it was 100 years ago — in fact, it’s slightly lower. Read more → here ←.

However, what has changed is the different types of immigrants that have been arriving to the country; and certain factors like global economy and U.S. immigration laws have played a big part in the shift. 100 years ago, most immigrants were of European descent while today’s immigration demographic is largely Latin American and Asian.
