Alessandro Puccinelli. | A Van in the Sea.

Despite Matt Foley‘s incessant warnings, living in a van near a body of water looks quite serene in Alessandro Puccinelli‘s series, A Van in the Sea. Drenched in calm, the series is literary a collection of photographs featuring a van near the sea. Seems simple, but it is the kind of simple that places the viewer in a comforting realm of solitude.

“In 2011 I decided to buy an old (but super well constructed) motorhome Hymer 1983 and drive it along the south coast of Portugal through some of my favorite places along the European coast. I did that just to be able to take care of my personal photography projects. Also, I just wanted to do what I like. [These are] a small series of images from 2013, taken right before I went to sleep.

Of course I hope to take many more of these images in 2014.”
