Battle for Your Ballot.

Voter suppression is a key issue in this year’s election. Everyone knows about but not everyone knows about it — and here’s why: a complete absence of quality information. We hear about it in the media but it just seems like another hotbed issue that will go away after the election; this is not true. It is a broad violation of our democratic process and direct assault on the elderly and lower class member of society. Featuring Russell Simmons and Gerard Bush, Ballot for Your Ballot seeks to enlighten Americans about the war that is being waged on our right to vote.

Nothing against Russel Simmons, however the he forgets to mention an important key element…..”ALEC”. ALEC (American Legislative Exchange Council) has helped corporate America propose and even draft legislation for states across the country. ALEC brings together major U.S. corporations and right-wing legislators to craft and vote on “model” bills behind closed doors. However, don’t think that Obama and some of the Democrats are not on the band wagon, because they are. ALEC has come under increasing scrutiny for its role in promoting “stand your ground” gun laws, union-busting policies, and OF COURSE voter suppression bills. The system is rigged.
