The Lovers at Lyons Wier.

May is bringing a throng of brilliant new shows, one of them being James Gortner‘s The Lovers at Lyons Wier. Gortner’s first solo exhibition in New York City, The Lovers  is culmination of two years worth of work that is heavily inspired by his relationship with Carolina Palmgren–amongst other things. After taking in some of the work and marveling at Gortner’s technique, we got the chance to speak with Gortner and curator, Michael Lyons Wier. The Lovers will run through June 1st, 2013.
