Channeling his creative inner child, 3D artist, J.R. Schmidt, has created a topographic-like Lego sculpture of New York City–but it wasn’t all fun and games. Schmidt went through a complicated process in order to arrange this sculpture. Using an assortment of maps and satellite imagery, the artist was able to mimic the elevation points of the city almost to a tee.

With all that has happen to the city in the past weeks, this is a refreshing reminder that we can always rebuild. You can purchase prints → here. ←
