A moving documentary about Chinese artist Ai Weiwei is set to hit US theater this upcoming July. Ai WeiWei, reffered to Ai God by some, is one of China’s most prolific and politically aware artist to ever live. In land where freedom of is expression is prohibited and censorship is king, WeiWei has been beaten, harass, detained and has also had his newly built studio bulldozed.

Produced and directed by Alison Klayman, the 91 minute film is due out in the US on July 27th and in the UK on August 10th. Find out more about the documentary at its official website.
