Living quarters can be small in the big city. With the population often being as dense as a year old fruitcake, there isn’t much space to go around. As a result, those who live in a big city are forced to become shrewd space-saving savages, hellbent on properly utilizing every square foot. But out of that shrewdness comes the Living Cube, a fully functional article of furniture that can make your 5×5 studio apartment look like a 20 acre loft.
Our measurements may be a bit exaggerated, but the Living Cube–which functions as a bed, a bookshelf, a closet, a shoe cubby, and a home entertain space–can efficiently open up any and all cramped quarters. Developed by designer Till Könneker and carpenter Remo Zimmerli, the Living Cube is handcrafted in Berlin and will be available for sale starting January 1st, 2014.
