Artist Molly Crabapple and RSA Shorts presents The Power of Quiet, a charming animated manifestation of Susan Cain’s best selling book, Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can’t Stop Talking. An articulate affirmation for those who rather stay at home and keep to themselves, Quiet suggests that being an introvert isn’t exactly a death sentence.
In the book, Cain points out that those who have less of a social life have way more time to spend formulating ideas and honing their craft. She also explains an historical shift in which society began favoring extrovertism. Although Cain refrains from going on the offensive against extroverts and instead preaches the concept of balance, Crabapple took more humorous liberties, depicting extroverts as overly rambunctious, partying canines and introvert as thoughtful, pensive felines.
