Illustrator Vaka Valo is nonchalantly sick. It sounds a tad extreme but when you see the work, you will know exactly what we mean. Valo’s Drxxm Dxxry series is a cool, calm application of muted violence. The work isn’t ruined with overwrought emotion and theatrics–instead the sometimes surrealistic and deliberate actions allow the pieces to speak for themselves. One might say that it reeks of effortless effort.
