e can’t stop saying our farewells to summer. We dropped in on Sara Andreasson and found some new works that definitely made us misty-eyed about summer being on its way out. Andreasson’s Tan Lines is a revealing series of illustrations featuring subjects who stayed stayed out in the sun too long.
A New Mediation. | Sara Andreasson.
e caught Sara Andreasson flying solo this time around with her series, Meditation. Far more vibrant than her collaboration with Johanna Berg (Deciphering Dinner 3:33), the work is tranquil, spiritual, and otherworldly. The series is a commission for a Mosaic Science article titled “Can Meditation Really Slow Ageing?”
Remember, Dinner at 3:33.
Sara Andreasson and Johanna Berg deconstruct and re-interpret the concept of sentimental value in their series, Deciphering Dinner 3:33. Purposefully replacing the usual dinner time elements with discard, out of place items, Andreasson and Berg attempt to determine whether it is the objects or the experience that has true value.
