Rarely are there pieces that capture the mechanical essence of love. Perfect Lovers (1987-91) by Felix Gonzalez-Torres is a moving installation that tells both the story of a love loss and a love that will forever be cherished. Torres, who is a homosexual, uses Perfect Lovers to pay homage to his deceased lover who died from AIDS.
