Drawing inspiration from Ukiyo-e art and Japanese culture, illustrator Andrew Archer depicts basketball under a dramatic visual narrative. In the series Edo Ball, Archer takes traditional Japanese technique and integrates it with basketball colloquialisms and well known nicknames.
Edo Ball essentially began in 2013 with two personal artworks, The Rock & The Ghost.
