Musical collaborations often attempt to sell/display a certain authenticity; they want you to believe that the collaborating artists genuinely like each other and are the best of friends. Although this strategy has its purpose, at times, it can be transparent and overwrought to a point where it just seems like smoke and mirrors.

But here we have Cheri Coke and Melo-X; a true musical relationship that is blossoming before our very eyes. Their X/COKE EP is slated to drop today (May 29th).
