The newly released Flaming Lips LP, The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends, features collaborative cuts with Bon Iver, Prefuse 73 and the Lips’ audio-tronic bestie, Ke$ha. The featured track, “2012…You Must Be Upgraded” showcases K-E-Dollar Sign-Ha doing what she lyrically does best: sing like an injured cat over a scratchy beat but to the Flaming Lips’ credit, the beat is futuristic funk. With a hidden appearance by Biz Markie, “2012…” is an acquired taste kind of track but if your taste (and ear) buds are open, you will surely be taken on a hell of a stereo trip.

Take a listen to “2012…You Must Be Upgraded” below!
