This is a special issue for us. Usually we confine ourselves to the canyons of Gotham, but for this issue, we traded in our peacoats for Bermuda shorts, and headed down to Miami for the coveted Art Basel.

Now, for those of you who are asking, “What the fudge is an Art Basel?”, think of it as one big art orgy that not even a Norse god can bring a stop to. At first, we weren’t too concerned with the festivities. In fact, being the pompous naysayers that we are, we even presumed Art Basel to be a bit overrated. But that was before we were invited by United Colors of Benetton to see their brilliant Tutti Frutti exhibition by Fabrica at the newly renamed Benetton South Beach. Wrongful apprehensions aside, we headed down to Miami last week to see what all the hubbub was about.

To say that we had a complete blast would be a dramatic understatement. We won’t spoil you with tales of our exploits at this very moment, but we can guarantee that you will be willing to sell your kidney for a trip to next year’s Art Basel before the week is out. Peep the sneak peek we provided above!

Unflinchingly Yours,

Quiet Lunch Staff.

Stay Tuned!
