We have some good stuff for you in this issue. Okay, that wasn’t our most vigorous pitch but if you spent the last two weeks running around like we did, you wouldn’t exactly be at your most chipper. Crankiness aside, the CMJ Marathon was indeed a marathon, but we happened to document some of the festivities for our readers and are more than happy to share with you our journey.

Plus, Bim Star gives his take on one of the most celebrated rap albums of the year, good kid, M.A.A.D. City, Matia Guardabascio catches up with Peter and the Wolf and Derrick B. Harden gets a do over.

P.S – We would never forget our art junkies! We also have interviews with Minnesota painter Holly Grimsrud, Italian illustrator Virginia Mori, and French illustrator Cheyenne.

Unflinchingly Yours,

Quiet Lunch Staff.

Stay Tuned!
